View this email in your browser   ILC Final Exam Study Night—December 13, 5–8 p.m.   The ILC's Final Exam Study Night is scheduled for Tuesday, December 13 from 5–8 p.m.  Study solo or with a small group. Come for an hour or for the whole time. All we ask is that if you're here, you're here to study. We provide free snacks and hot drinks, and you are welcome to use Chromebooks, the computer lab, and other ILC resources.  Mrs. Eichman, Ms. Lehman, Mr. Strzyinski, Mrs. Bowen, Mrs. Baur, Mrs. Gialo, Mrs. Gusler, and Mrs. Piekutowski (Doyle) are teachers and staff members who will be on hand to offer assistance. Contact Mrs. P. at [email protected] if you have any questions. Book Club Yes, we have a student Book Club! We meet after school in the ILC on Fridays and, sometimes, during late start Mondays. We have a few good books lined up for the coming weeks: Stuff I've Been Feeling Lately by Alicia Cook (poems) The Butterfly Garden by Dot Hutchison Talk to Mrs. Piekutowski or Mrs. Kent for more information. Winter Break Reads Make time to read over your Winter Break. Consider one of the books from the Abe Award list for 2017. If you read four of the books by February, you get to vote for your favorite as part of a state-wide contest. If you read all 20, you will become part of the ILC Reader Hall of Fame. Keep track of your reading on our bulletin board in the ILC.  Here's another list for you: National Public Radio's Book Concierge. NPR staff and critics have 300 suggestions from 2016, including several young adult picks. You also have access to more than 20,000 ebooks and audiobooks on our digital media library, Axis360.
