Ten reasons why you should check out our digital media library Axis 360. Let's start with #10.
10. Our Magic Wall eases your search for the ebook that's right for you. It looks and functions a little bit like Netflix. If you hover over the book thumbnails, a pop-up will give you a snapshot of information about the title, including whether or not it is available for checkout. Congratulations to the following students! Each won a book from the 2020 Abraham Lincoln Book Award nominee list. Students earned raffle tickets for a chance to win a book by participating in ILC events and for reading for fun in the month leading up to National Library Week. All students are invited to participate in the Abe challenge for 2020, which is sponsored by the Association of Illinois School Librarian Educators. Learn more here. More than 100 students participated in the first-ever ILC Putt-Putt Challenge during National Library Week. Seven student teams designed and constructed book-themed putt-putt holes for the student body to enjoy; four of the holes were related to One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest by Ken Kesey, thanks to Mr. Plinske's AP Language students. After completing the course, students voted for their favorite. The winning team was Ashley Alm and Sav Garrett, who built a complex Dr. Seuss-themed hole. They each won a gift card to America's Action Territory.
